Russell adds Vietnam, others to global stock index

NEW YORK, July 1 (Reuters) - Russell Investments said on Tuesday that Vietnam and six other countries have been added to its Global Index in the annual reconstitution.

In addition to Vietnam, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Slovakia, Tunisia and Ukraine were added.

Among the nine Vietnamese companies in the index are PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Services PVD.HM.

Of the 29 companies from Qatar joining the index, 17 are financial services firms. (Reporting by Cal Mankowski; Editing by Dan Grebler)
